Muncie Urban Forestry Committee

Mission: The purpose of the Urban Forestry Committee is to promote and protect the public health, safety, and general welfare of the City of Muncie by providing for the regulation of planting, maintenance, and removal of trees, shrubs, and other vegetation within the city.

Meetings:

  • 3rd Wednesday of every month at 1:00pm
  • Located at the Building Commissioner's Conference Room on the 3rd Floor of City Hall

Urban Forestry Committee

Each member will serve for a three-year term or until such member no longer represents the entity from which they were appointed or the appointing officer or group elects to replace such person. Committee members and their appointment:

It is said that John Dillinger, the infamous bank robber passed through Muncie in July of 1933. He did not rob any banks here because he was afraid of a train hindering his getaway plan.
