Five Points Fountain

The City of Derby Connecticut gave the City of Muncie a nice little "shout-out" over the historic "Five Points Fountain" located in Heekin Park. Click here for photos and for the article.  The Fountain was originally dedicated in 1911 and serves as a great aesthetic and cultural landmark in our City's Park system.

Hershey Track & Field Games

The City of Muncie's Parks and Recreation Department in conjunction with the Friends of Conley will be hosting the Hershey's Track and Field Games again in 2014!  Please click here for event details and flyer and sign up today!

Pothole Claims

For individuals that filed for reimbursement through the City of Muncie for damage due to the weather, you will most likely be receiving denial letters from the insurance company.  Do not be alarmed!  The City of Muncie intends to pay for claims that were turned in on time and with the appropriate documentation.

Mayor's Youth Council!

The City of Muncie is reinstating the Mayor's Youth Council!!  Click here for an application!  Students must be enrolled in grades 6-11 for the 2014-2015 school year and be a Muncie resident.  If you are interested in government and what to help serve your community apply today!!

Muncie was deemed Middletown after Robert and Helen Lynd conducted sociological studies on our "typical Mid-American community." The studies drew attention to our city and since, we have been a continually studied town for social change in America.
