muncie animal care and education center

Mission

The Muncie Animal Care and Services Department’s mission is to provide care and services for stray, abandoned and abused animals in the City of Muncie and Unincorporated Delaware County, reduce the number of stray dogs and cats, and enforce City and County animal ordinances for public safety and humane animal care and control.

Benefits of Adopting

When adopting from MACS, you are receiving an animal that is spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated and given parasite prevention. Adopters receive a coupon for a free wellness exam with a local Veterinarian. By choosing to adopt instead of “shop”, you are directly helping to decrease the number of homeless pets, instead of supporting backyard breeders and puppy and kitten mills. Most importantly, you are giving the animal the gift of a second chance at a new life in a caring home.

Hours of Operation

  • Sunday Closed
